Attending exhibitions will help you market your business by drawing more eyes to it. For some industries – particularly in the B2B world – exhibitions are the most important way of promoting a company. Regardless of what you do or what you sell, the core goal is to gather a huge crowd at your next exhibition and to drive as many people to your stand as possible.
Unfortunately, all the other businesses are trying to do the same thing!
With these three ideas, you’ll ensure that a massive crowd gathers at your stand, leaving all the other businesses craning their necks to see what you’re doing better than them.
Host A Giveaway
Giveaways always attract audiences because who doesn’t want to win free stuff? The trick with an exhibition giveaway is twofold:
- Be sure you have something valuable to give away. “Value” is defined as something the audience would like to have. It could be a free product, a year’s subscription to your service, etc.
- Make the giveaway available to people with special tickets. Go around the crowd handing these out on the exhibition floor as people move around the space. Tell them when the giveaway starts and they’ll soon flock to your stand.
Create A Unique Stand
While a giveaway encourages people to visit your stand, a unique exhibition stand works more organically. Your stand should look different to everyone else’s and include some nice quirks or features. Things like the Enigma bespoke exhibition stands are genius here – you can design one that’s truly unique to your business and it can have fun things like touchscreens, interactive displays and more.
At the end of the day, the more outlandish and “different” your stand is, the more intriguing it is to the audience. They’ll see your stand with all its bells and whistles and be inclined to come along and see what all the fuss is about.
Put On Some Events
You could technically classify your giveaway as one of these events but think about other events you can host during an exhibition to draw a large audience. Make certain they don’t break any exhibition rules, but there’s no reason you couldn’t do any of the following:
- Host product demonstrations
- Put on a quiz for people to join
- Provide interactive events for audience members to partake in
- Hold your own Q&A sessions
Your mini-event can hold more power if it has a USP as well. For instance, maybe you’ll bring out a celebrity – or a big name within your industry that everyone at the event will know about – and get them to do a quick talk with you. Stuff like this is genius as people will hear about the star name and will be keen to see them in person. It will cost money to pay someone to attend your event, but it’s a worthy investment if it means hundreds of people flock to your stand and stick around for 10-15 minutes – do you know how many leads you could generate in that time?!
With three simple ideas, you’ll soon have the entire exhibition hall eating out of the palm of your hand. Your stand will command the biggest crowd and even your rival businesses will be sneaking around to see what all the fuss is about.
